Example of LARP garb on the cheap

Many people think you have to have a lot of money for LARP garb, or for costuming. I am a firm believer that going to thrift stores is one of the most time saving and money saving techniques there is when it comes to either making clothes, costuming, or even just finding accents to something you are working on. Take the outfit I'm wearing below....



Shirt: made from bedsheet - total cost 4$
skirt: made from secondhand skirt and table cloth - 8$
overdress: made from second hand dress and sheets - 14$
snood - hand crocheted, about 3$ of cotton yarn
Pants from sheets: 4$

Showing that with a bit of sewing you can make an outfit for less than 35$ - priceless
